D.I.Y Camp

It was 1997. World Vision Malaysia had just been formed, and was manned by a handful of staff. The Sin Chew Daily took the lead and organised the first 30-Hour Famine in Malaysia. Reports of the famine in North Korea shocked the world and funds poured in.

On the 10th Year Anniversary Famine A record-breaking 10,000 sponsors, donors, volunteers and campers took part in the largest camp ever. Also, the Famine spread its wings to East Malaysia for the first time!

This year, World Vision Malaysia is taking the famine to greater heights by giving people all around West Malaysia the chance to organize their own D.I.Y(Do It Yourself) camps.

Lasting 26 hours, DIY Famine Camps give an insight into the world of poverty in a fun and experiential way.

All campers will then come together at Bukit Jalil Stadium for an exciting 4-hour Famine Countdown event.

We will be sorting out all the nitty gritty details of planing the famine so all you have to do is raise RM100, bring yourself to the venue and give up food for 30 hours.

We'll be giving out the donation cards real soon so do spread the word among your friends as spaces are limited.
